Objectives

Providing emergency basic educational assistance to students in schools in the most affected areas; With the aim of maintaining the continuity of the operation of these schools; To provide a better educational level and provide the basics for the continuation of the educational process and to ensure that it does not stop.

Outcomes

The project includes a number of activities and interventions in the seven schools:

  1. Training 162 male and female teachers from the seven schools on education in light of crises, in coordination with the Training and Rehabilitation Sector at the Ministry of Education.
  2. Disbursing incentives for 162 permanent and volunteer teachers in the seven schools on a monthly basis for eight consecutive months.
  3. Selecting, testing, interviewing and training seven volunteers from the intervention areas in the seven schools affiliated with the project, with monthly incentives paid to them, for a period of six consecutive months.
  4. Implementation of awareness campaigns by volunteers to clarify the importance of education for students, teachers and parents, in which 30,000 notebook covers were printed and distributed to students, in addition to preparing and printing 12 awareness templates for volunteers, Preparing and printing more than 10,000 reading media materials for students, teachers and parents, in addition to printing seven murals that were distributed to schools.
  5. Building 13 new classrooms in the seven schools affiliated to the project.
  6. Rehabilitation of 86 other classrooms in the seven schools affiliated to the project.
  7. Building 10 new bathrooms in the seven schools affiliated to the project.
  8. Rehabilitation of another 20 bathrooms in the seven schools affiliated to the project.
  9. Providing the seven schools affiliated with the project with blackboards, pens and stationery.
  10. Providing five schools affiliated with the project (October 14 in Sulaymaniyah, Al-Nasr in Deir Qim, Al-Fath in Deir Dahrah, Al-Ezz bin Abdul-Sam in Mahdia, Al-Noor in Al-Qamariya) with 10 drinking water tanks connected to clean water sources (the capacity of one tank is 2,000 liters).
  11. Construction of two new walls for the two schools of Al-Fath in Al-Hajari with a length of (284) meters long, and for the Al-Fath School in Deir Dahrah with a length of (36) meters in length.
  12. Rehabilitation of five other walls for five schools belonging to the project: October 14 in Sulaymaniyah, Al-Nasr in Deir Qim, Al-Ezz bin Abdul-Sam in Al-Mahadia, Al-Tasheeh in Al-Bahah, Al-Noor in Al-Qamarya with a total length of (1,564) meters.
  13. Supply and installation of 5 solar energy systems for schools: October 14 in Sulaymaniyah, Al-Nasr in Deir Qim, Al-Fath in Deir Dahra, Al-Ezz bin Abdul-Sam in Mahdia, Al-Noor in Qamriya (the capacity of one system is 400 watts).
  14. Supply and installation of two gates for the schools of Al-Ezz bin Abd al-Salam in Mahdia and Al-Fath in Al-Hajari.​
