Displacement forced 11-year-olds Thuraya and Dina to abandon school for two years. Harsh living conditions and low family awareness threatened to end their education forever.
Thuraya recalls:
“I felt education was no longer for us, and that our future had stopped at that moment.”
AGF responded with teacher training, psychosocial support, dropout follow-ups, and family awareness campaigns. This convinced their parents to re-enroll them. Today, both girls are back in school, determined to pursue their dreams. Dina reflects:
“Today we know that education is our only hope. Because of it, we went back to school and will continue until we achieve our dreams.”
